INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM ASSISTANT

The Office of International Services (OIS) serves the needs of international students and visiting scholars at USC through a variety of advising services, programs and information resources. The International Program Assistant (IPA) designs, publicizes and implements meaningful programs to meet international student needs and facilitate interaction between international and domestic students. Being an IPA is more than just an on-campus job; it is a commitment to supporting the international student community at USC by providing creative programs that meet the unique needs of this population. Extensive training is provided.

Job Responsibilities
 Work as a contributing member of the OIS team
 Design, publicize and implement programs for the USC community
 Provide OIS office support as needed

Qualifications
 Full-time graduate student at USC (minimum GPA of 3.0 required for continuing students)
 Familiarity with USC community
 Interest in and sensitivity to cross-cultural adjustment issues
 Very good communication and organizational skills
 Ability to work both individually with minimal supervision and in a group setting as an active participant 
 Good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Publisher
Time Commitment:
 15 hours per week
 August 25, 2014 to May 16, 2015

Pay: $13.00 per hour
