Project Coordinator, Student Engagement

USC’s Department of Student affairs is seeking a Project Coordinator to join its team. This position supports the Assistant Provost of Student Affairs and as well as assists in the planning, organization and delivery of Student Engagement cluster services and programs. The incumbent will oversee administrative operations and assist in providing specialized professional services such as developing, implementing and evaluating important team wide projects/initiatives. This position offers exciting opportunities to be involved with collaborative projects and activities in the Student Engagement cluster as well as across the division of Student Affairs. The Student Engagement cluster includes Campus Activities, Fraternity and Sorority Leadership Programs, Office of International Services, Parent Programs, Spectrum, Student Publications, Trojan Marching Band, Transfer and Veterans Programs.

Job Accountabilities:
• Support the Assistant Provost for Student Affairs, Student Engagement.
• Provide professional services such as event planning, budgeting, proposal development, and marketing of program services
• Handle highly confidential information in a discreet and disciplined manner.
• Maintain appointment calendar including making all necessary arrangements to assure appointments and meetings are up to date, accurate, and well-coordinated
• Provide leadership and guidance for student workers and/or volunteers. Ensure satisfactory follow through on assigned areas of responsibility.
• Assists in the planning, organization and delivery of Student Engagement cluster services and programs
• Research and gather data from various sources and databases. Assemble and format; create preliminary presentations; submit recommendations and prepare reports, as assigned
• Assist in coordination of assessment efforts, including identifying opportunities, connecting cluster to resources, and producing and assembling reports
• Coordinate production and distribution of important communication materials including reports, informational materials, marketing materials, meeting agendas, etc
• Coordinate program services and/or activities including but not limited to the President’s Tea and the Student Affairs/DPS Ride Along.
• Oversee budget preparation and administration. Research costs. Track and monitor budget expenditures. Report on variances.
