Founded in 2006, Educators for Fair Consideration’s mission is to support undocumented students in realizing their academic and career goals and actively contributing to society. We offer unique programming that holistically addresses the complex financial, legal, career, and emotional health needs of undocumented students. Specifically, we provide scholarships, legal services, professional and personal development workshops, and a strong peer network. We also lead presentations and create educational materials to raise awareness and support for undocumented students nationwide. Our programming is designed by and for undocumented young people with support from committed allies. In the past year, we have experienced tremendous growth in the visibility of and demand for our programs, the size of our program staff, and support for our work overall. We are eager to expand upon this growth by increasing and investing in our core leadership capacity.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Director of Programs will join E4FC’s passionate and dynamic team to play a key leadership role in the next phase of our organization’s growth. With oversight from the Executive Director, the Director of Programs will be primarily responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our multi-faceted programming. The Director of Programs will provide direct guidance, supervision, and training to a program team of seven coordinators and managers, as well as support to the Executive Director in overall organizational visioning, strategic partnerships, and fundraising.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Program Planning, Development & Evaluation
- Lead organization-wide program planning, including development of annual workplans that clearly articulate goals, objectives and anticipated outcomes for each program area
- Develop and oversee ongoing program assessment and evaluation systems to measure short and long-term impact
- Contribute written content with analysis of program strengths, challenges and accomplishments for internal use and external communication purposes
- Ensure alignment of individual programs with the organization’s overall strategic priorities and guiding values
- Facilitate cross-program connection
Staff Support & Supervision
- Provide guidance, support, and training to program staff in order to achieve their program goals
- Help create and implement individualized professional development plans for program staff
- Lead 360º program staff evaluation process
- Oversee ongoing development and implementation of program staff workplans to ensure organizational goals are met to the highest standards of excellence
- Facilitate a cohesive and supportive staff team with effective collaboration and communication across program areas
Organizational Infrastructure & Operations
- Manage program budgets
- Process program payments and reimbursements
- Coordinate office management and administrative support
- Oversee event logistics
External Relations
- Participate in strategic partnership development
- Contribute content to grant proposals and participate in donor relations
- Support public relations and communications efforts (led by Executive Director)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Passionate personal commitment to social justice and the vision and mission of E4FC
- Significant experience working with low-income and/or immigrant youth and commitment to developing strong relationships with E4FC student community
- Highly organized strategic thinker with proven planning skills and strong interest in organizational development
- Minimum of five years’ leadership experience in program and staff management
- Proven track record as creative and resourceful creator of programs
- Inspirational leader and mentor, capable of supporting staff to bring forward their strongest vision and ideas and to deliver on ambitious program goals
- Demonstrable expertise in leadership development of others, with strong preference for youth development and mentorship experience
- Commitment to supporting creativity, wellbeing, and humor among staff to enrich the work of the organization
- Effective and engaged collaborator who thrives in a team context
- Commitment to innovation and a culture of continual learning
- Ability to model and foster resourcefulness and flexibility for a nimble and responsive organization
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in multicultural context, with critical consciousness on issues of race, class, sexual orientation
- Ability to represent E4FC among diverse stakeholders, including donors, educators, allies, and parents
- Bilingual/bicultural preferred (Spanish proficiency a plus)

Competitive compensation based on experience.
