MFT Writing Seminars

As part of our effort to acculturate students to the writing expectations of the MFT program, the Master's Programs Office is offering two writing seminars this summer:

Introduction to Graduate Writing (Wed, July 18, 3-4pm): Writing as a multi-step process; techniques for self-editing & revision; common grammar & mechanics errors; comma usage; passive vs. active voice; grammatical person.

APA Formatting & Quotation Usage (Wed, July 25, 3-4pm):  APA formatting of quotes; APA citations; miscellaneous APA rules; what constitutes plagiarism at the university level, and how to avoid it; direct quotation vs. paraphrasing; integrating quotes into your own work.
