STUDENT JOBS AVAILABLE IN THE USC SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK

DEPARTMENT: School of Social Work

LOCATION(S): MRF and City Center, Downtown Los Angeles

SALARY: $12-15/hour, commensurate with skills and experience

HOURS: 10 - 15 hours/week (flexible), Limited term - February-March 2011

START DATE: ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking bilingual (Spanish/English) graduate student workers (work study preferred but not required) to assist with interviews of Spanish-speaking families. Successful candidates will be fluent in Spanish and be comfortable interviewing parents regarding family functioning. Some travel to interview sites required. Hours will include some evening and weekends. This project is the third wave of interviews following family services received 1-2 years ago.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated experience in the relevant skill areas required. We are seeking individuals who are bright, self-motivated, organized, responsible, reliable, creative, efficient and able to work independently. Experience or interest in qualitative research preferred. Doctoral students are encouraged to apply as well. Hours are flexible; however, you should be able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week. This is a limited-term project requiring completion in 6-8 weeks.
