I am writing with a great field work opportunity for PASA and HEC students for next fall. USC’s Orientation Programs host multiple sections of The United States: An American Culture Series, a 13-week course aimed to teach international students about American culture. This exciting, innovative, and interactive course focuses on topics like politics, sports, relationships, and food. In the past three years, we have offered 15 sections of the course, helping about 160 international students (undergraduate and graduate) adjust to life in the United States.
Classes will be co-taught by a graduate student and a professional staff member. In exchange for teaching the class, you will have the opportunity to receive one unit (50 hours) of field work, gain amazing classroom teaching experience, and build lasting relationships. Instructors will have the ability to decide the day and time of their section.
To apply, please complete the attached application and submit it to me with your resume by May 1. Thank you!
