After August 22nd I can take on an intern to assist in the Jefferson High
School Career Center.
Some of the responsibilities, most of which I will provide training for,
will include:
organizing a career fair, volunteer fair,and guest speakers events
assisting students with resumes and job interview role plays
coordinating internship and apprenticeship programs
counseling students with personal issues that dictate finding a job
understanding work permit requirements
promoting career center activities in classrooms
lunch time campus supervision
assisting with equipment purchases for our Career Tech. Ed. classes
making flyers (computer graphic skills needed)
light office work
attending COST / student intervention meetings
use of school SIS system
construction of school website
The following duties will not be covered:
programing students into classes
disciplinary duties
parent conferences
group counseling
access to school counselors will be difficult due to their limited office
space
Required Qualifications:
prior work experience
computer software knowledge to create spread sheets and flyers
prior teaching experience a plus

Fieldwork position info:
When: Begins after August 22nd
Days: 2-3 days a week (not less)
Time: 7:20am to 2:30pm
