Description of the Disaster Resource Center: The USC Emergency Operations Center and Student Affairs Disaster Operations Center have partnered together to form a Disaster Resource Center (DRC) in the event of a critical event/campus emergency. The Disaster Resource Center is designed to be a place for faculty, students, staff, families, and community members to gather together and receive necessary services and information in the event of an emergency. Many campus partners have collaborated to create a floor-plan for the center and have agreed to come together in its implementation should it be needed.
Disaster Resource Center Assistant Coordinator Jobs/Duties:
-Attend meetings with supervisor, EOC team, and other campus constituents to create the foundation for the DRC
-Plan and implement campus-wide emergency drill in which the DRC will be implemented (Similar to the Great Shakeout)
-Create proposal and budget needed to acquire the DRC supplies
-Assist in creating necessary Student Affairs forms and materials for the DRC
-Create signage for the DRC and a way of disseminating important information to campus constituents
-Create binders with information and DRC set-up protocols for campus partners
-Other tasks related to the formation and implementation of USC Student Affairs Emergency Response Protocols
