Call for Latina Future History Maker Nonimations for the 21st Annual Latina History Day Conference
Do you know an outstanding Latina college student that deserves recognition as a “Future History Maker”? Future History Makers are the next generation of Latina women, ages 18 to 25, working to make an impact in their community.
HOPE, in partnership with Estée Lauder Companies, is looking for Latina college students with excellent academic and community service credentials to receive recognition at HOPE's 21st Annual Latina History Day Conference on March 9, 2012 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. Selected recipients will be recognized for their exemplary contributions to their communities or their academic excellence. Selected recipients will be treated to a special day of activities and will receive formal recognition during the breakfast program as a selected Future History Maker.
Applicants should currently be involved in: activities/projects that benefit the community; advancing in an academic field; or pioneering groundbreaking research or inventions. Self nominations are accepted. Selected winners must be able to attend the conference.
Please click here to download the application and obtain additional details about Future History Maker nominations. Applications are due Friday, February 3, 2012 to Mayra Rojas at mrojas@latinas.org.
