The Spark USC Recruitment Internship is a unique opportunity for a current undergraduate or graduate student at USC to explore the world of education non-profits through the process of outreach, recruitment, and networking in a university setting.  This position allows the intern to learn about the organization and structure of a non-profit, to sharpen networking skills, build relationships with a system of professionals across L.A., and to gain hands-on experience in strategizing various types of community outreach.

  • Intern must have an interest in working with youth and be comfortable approaching individuals to share the Spark mission, core values, and goals (intern will be trained on this material in advance).

  • Intern spends one full or two half day(s) in the Spark office each week connecting with the Spark team to set concrete weekly goals.

  • Intern spends between 15-20 hours per week working on the USC campus and at the downtown Spark office.  The hours will vary slightly each week depending on weekly events and scheduling.

  • College credit is available through this internship.

§  Upon completion of the internship, the intern will receive a $250.00 stipend.
