This is a great opportunity to join the nation’s largest not-for-profit organization supporting Hispanic higher education. HSF's mission is to increase the number of Hispanic college graduates by providing scholarships and assistance to students and their families. The available positions are as follows:
Gates Millennium Scholarship Outreach and Promotion Coordinator (Gardena, CA)
Coordinate scholarship promotion to the Hispanic community in order to identify outstanding students qualified for the Gates Millennium Scholars award; including developing an annual scholarship promotion plan and developing GMS Male Initiative plan. Coordinate the development, implementation, publicity, staffing and evaluation of information sessions and workshops. Recruitment and oversight of volunteers. Work with national partners to reach out to their constituencies; developing promotion material and managing distribution of materials to targeted audiences.
Gates Scholars Program Coordinator (Gardena, CA)
Respond to scholar inquiries and counsel regarding their financial aid and GMS scholarship awards. Troubleshoot scholarship processing issues with scholars and the financial aid office. Support the GMS Campus Engagement Manager (CEM) and GMS Academic Empowerment Services (ACE). Assist in the request and evaluation of student transcripts and the monitoring of scholars for full-time attendance. Process GMS Graduate Program Inquiry Forms and GMS Deferment Forms.
Gates Scholars Program Assistant (Gardena, CA)
Utilize Microsoft Office programs to serve students and provide phone support to students, parents and educational administrators. Assist in the planning of local meetings related to program and in support of GMS Campus Engagement Manager (CEM). Assist in student eligibility assessment and document management. Provide support of office administrative functions, including but not limited to supply maintenance, mailing, and other duties as assigned.
Program Coordinator - HSF Scholarship Programs (Gardena, CA)
Provide front line support. Support and coordinate the administration of quality scholarship programs that are within compliance and in accordance with the vision and mission of HSF. Collaborate with other departments.
