Director of Student & Academic Services Position

We are currently accepting applications for the Director of Student & Academic Services position at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.  The Ford School is one of the nation’s foremost policy schools. We lead research that illuminates public policy challenges and opportunities. We prepare future policy leaders and analysts for dynamic careers in the public, non-profit, and private sectors here in the U.S. and around the world. We work with policymakers to inform and improve local, state, national, and international policies.

The director will provide strategic leadership and direction for all academic and student services functions including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, academic advising, records and registration, student activities and support services. The school’s 40 faculty members represent our core disciplines of economics, political science and sociology, as well as business, education, law, urban planning, public health and medicine. We offer four degree programs (BA, MPP, MPA, PhD) and one graduate certificate (Science, Technology & Public Policy), and have an enrollment of approx. 400 students. We are 30+ year host to the Public Policy & International Affairs (PPIA) program – a junior summer institute supporting efforts to increase diversity in public service.
