We are excited to announce that we are currently recruiting for our 2013-2014 Graduate Hall Coordinator positions here in the Office of Residential Education and Housing Services at Occidental College!
Located in Los Angeles, Occidental College is a small, private liberal arts college with an enrollment of 2100 undergraduates. Occidental College is consistently ranked among the top liberal arts colleges in the nation. The College is committed to the ideals of academic excellence and equity through its strong and steadfast commitment to developing a multicultural community. The campus is located in Eagle Rock, a suburb of Los Angeles that is 10 minutes north of downtown and 5 minutes west of Pasadena.
The mission of the residential education program includes heightening the awareness of diversity, with the goal of increasing the level of understanding and respect between people. Graduate Hall Coordinators at Occidental College are a crucial part of the REHS department. We have three areas of housing where GHCs work – the First Year Experience, Upper Division Housing and Themed Living Communities. GHC job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the supervision of student staff, the adjudication of conduct cases, the implementation of campus-wide programming and the rotation of campus “on-call” duties.
