seeks applications for an Assistant Director of Resident Education and Development
 
Qualifications:
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree with three years’experience in Student Personnel, Counseling higher education of related field. Experience must be in residence hall administration
or related field. The ideal candidate will have a Master’sDegree in college student personnel or a closely related field and previous living-in experience.Familiarity with urban campus environments and comfort in negotiating organizational complexity is also desirable.
 
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision from a designated administrator, the successful candidate will assist in the administration, staff development, direction and supervision of residence halls, and will supervise full time and graduate student staff members; develop, coordinate and implement training, including credit-bearing classes for full time, graduate and undergraduate staff as well as student leaders and will work collaborative with other members of the residence hall leadership team and with campus colleagues in all facets of the job. This is a live-out position; however the assistant director is required to maintain reasonable accessibility via phone/pager for consultation 24/7. Physical presence on campus for night and weekend work and for emergency management is required periodically.
