The Coordinator for Minority Male Engagement will develop, implement,
and assess programming for minority males focused on mentoring and
promoting academic success and engagement for students after their first
year at UNC-Chapel Hill. The coordinator will
train and supervise numerous mentors (advanced undergraduates, graduate
and professional students, and faculty staff members). Some evening and
weekend work is required. The position is located within the Center for
Student Success and Academic Counseling (CSSAC)
which is dedicated to promoting academic excellence to assist students
in achieving their academic goals while enrolled at Carolina. Its
constituent programs (Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes,
Learning Center, Student Academic Counseling, Summer Bridge, and Writing
Center) provide support for students in developing the skills and
strategies needed to achieve academic success. This commitment to
