Job Summary Statement: Under the supervision of the Director of the Center for Excellence in Engineering and Diversity (CCED), develop, implement, plan and manage K-12 Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) outreach and teacher preparation initiatives which are designed to enhance the recruitment and retention of students in engineering, math, and science education. Participate in the development of long and short-term program goals and objectives. Create an operational structure for the implementation of academic year programs at 24 school sites and summer enrichment components. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, industry partners, and various campus outreach centers to plan, organize, and coordinate services, activities and major events for 1500 students in grades 4-12. Oversee the day-today operations of program operations. Develop evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of services. Create a process for and manage the collection and maintenance of school, students, and program data. Prepare comprehensive interim and final reports for various funding agencies. Hire, train, and supervise pre-college staff and undergraduate teacher assistants.
