Graduate Assistant Position
The mission of the USC Sol Price School of Public
Policy is to improve the quality of life for people and their communities in
the U.S. and abroad. The Price School’s Office of Recruitment and Admissions
is seeking a graduate assistant to start August 1, 2013. The graduate assistant will work on a team
with five full-time staff members on recruitment and admissions initiatives.
Responsibilities: Manage phone and email communication and outreach
for prospective student inquiries; Attend and assist with admissions meetings,
recruitment fairs, and events; Maintain positive contact with Price faculty and
staff; Process applications; Run the Campus Visit and Student Ambassador program
for prospective and admitted students; Manage the Price student-run blog; and
additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: First-year PASA student preferred; Exceptional communication and
interpersonal skills; Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and follow through;
Ability and enthusiasm to work with a diverse applicant pool.
The position is a great opportunity to get
exposure to the operations of an admissions office for one of the Top 10 Public
Affairs schools in the U.S. The position
