EXAM ASSISTANT
DISABILITY SERVICES AND PROGRAMS
General Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and overseeing testing accommodations for students with disabilities
  • Proctoring exams to insure academic integrity
  • Oversee testing at off-site locations when necessary
  • Receive exam proctoring requests, exams, and other materials
  • Supervise approximately 15 exam proctors
  • Serve as a reader or scribe for exams when needed
  • General Office Work (filing, phone calls)
·         Research Assistant-DSP and other databases
·         Cross-training with DSP Notetaking Assistants, DSP Counselors, front desk, etc.

Position Requirements:
  • Enrollment at USC. Exam Assistants must be graduate students, preferably in Education, Communication, Public Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling.
  • Work Study strongly preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in an extremely busy environment with many interruptions
  • Ability to respond to the diversity of the USC Community
  • Ability to maintain appropriate behavior in dealing with faculty, administration, and staff and to provide courteous services to students and parents.


Please note:  We ask that the exam assistant work 20 hours a week consisting of two full days and a half day.

Compensation: $13/hr

Hours Per Week: 20 hr/wk

Work Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm, M-F
