Graduate Assistant Job Description
The Ed.D. Program office is looking for a Graduate Assistant for the current school year! This
position will allow
you to work closely with academic advisors while being exposed to doctoral students, faculty, and
staff within the Rossier School of Education. The Graduate Assistant will help with event planning,
social media initiatives, faculty support, administrative support, and other duties. It is
preferred that the candidate is enrolled in either the PASA or the Educational Counseling Master
programs. The rate of pay is $12/hour, up to 20 hours per week.
Purpose:
To gain knowledge of academic advising through in depth mentoring and observation while assisting
the Ed.D. Program Office with various administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Current graduate student enrolled in the PASA or Educational Counseling program
• PC and social media skills required
• Professionalism
• Reliable and efficient
• Available to work for 4 or more hours at a time
Job Opportunities:
• Assist with Ed.D. Program Office events (Orientation, Dissertation Conference, Commencement,
etc.)
• Shadow advising sessions
• Support faculty with curriculum development.
• Create/design project(s) as the need arises
