Seeking to fill two USG Graduate Advisor positions for the 2015-2016 year

Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Graduate Advisor Job Description:
USC Undergraduate Student Government (USG) is the representative voice of the undergraduate student body. USG's mission is to maintain a forum for expressing students' diverse views and interests and provide opportunities for student leadership development. This mission is served via advocacy, programming, and representation of students' voice and needs to the administration, the faculty, and the community. (http://usg.usc.edu/). USC Program Board (PB) is the programming branch of USG, representing the diversity of student interests and organizations.
PB's Committees and Assemblies are student-run groups that provide progressive and innovate
programming to promote diversity and entertainment. These events include concerts, speakers,
cultural experiences, and various other activities. (http://uscprogramboard.com/)


The Undergraduate Student Government Graduate Advisor works with the Associate Director of Campus Activities to advise student leaders within USG and PB.

Primary responsibilities include:

•   Advising senators, executives, directors and assistant directors
•   Interpreting university policies, Program Board/USG, and senate policies
•   Coordinating and facilitating director training
•   Overseeing appropriate budget expenditures
•   Attending committee, assembly and senate meetings
•   Assisting with transitioning activities and various special projects. Experience in a student
organization, governance and event programming is ideal.
Compensation: $13.00/hour @ 20 hours per week. Fall and Spring. However, if enrolled in summer
could also work in the summer. Student should have knowledge, interest, or previous work in student
government and/or program boards.
