Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Public Information Manager, the Public Information Specialist will have responsibility for representing the University of California and the Irvine campus to all visitors who request campus and UC-wide information from the Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools. Responsible for proactively pursuing and comprehending the degree and level of service required to field client telephone, in person, or electronic inquiries. Required to provide service to a wide variety of clients, i.e. domestic, international, undergraduate freshmen, transfer, high school scholars, second baccalaureate degree candidates, and continuing students. In addition, incumbent will assist with the design, coordination and implementation of a Student Ambassador program to assist in office-wide recruitment efforts. Other duties as assigned, based on workload needs of Office of Admissions and Relations with Schools.
Salary: Annual $40,908 - $54,204
Work Schedule: 8-5, M-F
