The Homeboy Heals Program - Update
We have 6 volunteer therapists currently providing services to our clients, actively working in the Homeboy Heals Program. We need more volunteer therapists and could use your help in getting word out that we are looking for licensed psychologists, social workers and marriage and family therapists who are willing to donate from one-to-four hours each week to work with our clients, the Homeboys and Homegirls. The Homeboy Heals Program works two ways. Option One asks providers within a 10-mile radius of our facility to counsel one Homeboy client weekly – at no charge – in his or her private office (Pasadena, South Pasadena, Downtown Los Angeles, etc.). The Second Option, for those whose offices are further away, is to schedule a three to four hour block of time each week at our Homeboy Industries’ First Street location.
