Southern California Counseling Center (SCCC) has an early application process for a March start date. This is a great placement that has a humanistic/narrative/post-modern approach to therapy. They have two different start times for trainees, one in the Spring (March) and one in the Fall (September). If you were to start in the Fall, you would not be able to start counting hours until Practicum class starts in May/June. However, even though your hours would not count towards graduation during that period, you would have ample time to become trained and to start building a caseload.
If you are interested in applying, it is MANDATORY that you take a tour of the facility. The only tour prior to the application deadline is next week on Wednesday, 11/21 at 12pm noon. This site is rare in that it starts its hiring process extremely early relative to most sites. It is also one of the most well-known and well structured training sites in the LA area.
