Dir-Veteran's Resource Center

Job Purpose: Provide leadership and direction for programs and services to identify and retain veteran students. Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders as it relates to services for student veterans.
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct Institute efforts in the identification and retention of student veterans and dependents.
- Identify, develop and implement programs that advocate the needs and success of student veterans.
- Collaborate with Student Services offices to coordinate services on campus for student veterans.
- Lead campus efforts for the USG Soldiers 2 Scholars program.
- Partner with internal departments and services to ensure all veteran initiatives and services are synchronized for degree and non-degree students.
- Maintain external relationships and serve as liaison with education centers at military installations to ensure information on admissions, registration, and course offerings are made available to potential and current students.
- Administer unit budget, production of financial statements, schedules, reports, forecasts and maintain appropriate records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required in appropriate field of academic study

- Skills: Must have advanced written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize projects and commitments. The candidate should possess strong skills for collaboration and the ability to work in a time setting.Qualifications
- Preferred Education: Master's degree
- Preferred Work Experience: Military or veteran services experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with Veteran's Administration certification and military benefits preferred. Ideal candidate will have an understanding of post 9/11 administrative and personnel issues.
