BHC Alhambra Hospital, located in Rosemead California, is a private, fully accredited, full-service acute psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents and adults. BHC Alhambra Hospital is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse and eating disorders treatment options for the communities of San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County and surrounding areas.
We are now interviewing qualified therapist for our Eating Disorders Adult and Adolescent inpatient, Partial and Intensive Outpatient Programs. The Therapist will run groups, conduct family therapy and may carry individual patients, as well as have responsibilities for management. All applicants must be available for some regular weekend coverage.
Responsibilities:
Carry individual and Family Therapy Patients - facilitating DBT and CBT groups -Case Management/Utilization Review- Eating meals with patients - Attending treatment team and staff meetings - Charting and Documentation
Requirements:
Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
Experience: Program Therapist I requires a minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. For a specialty program (for example, Eating Disorders) experience must be with that population. In lieu of experience specialized education and training may be acceptable. DBT (must have certification of training) CBT, Groups (process, psychoeducational, and topic) Family Therapy.,
License: Program Therapist must be masters prepared or higher.
Additional Requirements: NCI training within 90 days of employment and after being deemed competent, prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
