Governors State University Coordinator Position
Governors State University is looking for energetic and talented candidates for the newly created position of Coordinator of Campus Programs and Community Service in the Office of Student Life. Coordinator of Campus Programs and Community Service
The Coordinator of Campus Programs and Community Service is an active member of the Student Life Office with primary responsibility of developing and implementing campus wide programs including Welcome Week, Salute to Grads, and Non-Traditional Student Week under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Students. The incumbent will Chair the Program and Activities Committee. Designs, implements and assesses a comprehensive community service program and develops service-learning initiatives. The coordinator provides daily management of the Community Service Center and the VISTA using independent judgment and discretion, spearheads ongoing and short-term service projects, and provides campus leadership in promoting community service. Serves as integral member of the Student Life staff and supports departmental initiatives.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated experience in student life as an undergraduate, or master’s degree with student life and community service experience
