I
wanted to alert you to several new positions that are available in the
department of Housing and Residential Life at California State University, Long
Beach. We recently developed the concept of Residential Colleges. To
assist us with the implementation of this exciting new direction, we are
augmenting our staff with the following positions:
Residential
Academic Coordinator (SSPIII)– this position will coordinate academic
programs and services, classes, and living learning communities to enhance the
success and overall experience of Housing residents. This is a newly
established position and offers the incumbent an opportunity to develop much of
the elements of our Residential College experience. This is a live-out position.
Residential
College Coordinators (3 SSPII positions) – these positions will be
responsible for overseeing the residential life functions for each of the newly
formed Residential Colleges. They will supervise graduate student
Assistant College Coordinators who in turn will oversee the Resident
Assistants. Other responsibilities are to perform a variety of
administrative functions, oversee the student conduct process, assist with
developmental programs and assist with summer conferences. These are
live-in positions.
