Coordinator, Community Conduct in the University’s Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards (Oregon State University)


Oregon State University and the Office of the Dean of Student Life invite applications for the position of Coordinator, Community Conduct in the University’s Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards. The position is 12-month, 1.0 FTE professional faculty appointment with an annual salary of $43,000-$48,000. Applications are due by May 10, 2013.

The Student Conduct and Community Standards (SCCS) office supports the mission of the University by providing programs and services designed to meet the educational and developmental needs of students in relation to community standards, civility, accountability, diversity, respect, and truth.



The Community Conduct Coordinator performs a wide range of functions related to community standards and accountability for off campus student living. The Coordinator assumes a leadership role in the development and implementation of administrative hearings, university policies, procedures, training and educational workshops related to student behavior and academic integrity.



The Community Conduct Coordinator is charged with adjudication and resolution of student conduct matters, serving as a hearing officer for student conduct administrative hearings. The Community Conduct Coordinator manages the adjudication of sensitive and serious matters that promote student accountability and development within the off-campus student living community and manages the off- campus residential complaint process. The Coordinator participates in activities associated with building off-campus community and relationships, and participates in the development and facilitation of educational outreach for the OSU community with an emphasis on off-campus outreach.  Other facets of the position are program evaluation systems development for outcome measurements, conducting workshops/trainings for faculty/staff/graduate teaching assistants to address academic integrity in the classroom, and securing external funding sources for programming through grant writing.
