Departmental Overview
The Center for Student Conduct (CSC) administers the Code of Student Conduct on behalf of the University of California, Berkeley. The CSC serves as a clearinghouse for faculty, staff, students, and community members to report conduct that violates the University Code of Student Conduct. CSC challenges students to take responsibility for their actions; connects students to resources to assist in their collegiate success, and works with students in problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Our Mission is to support the overall mission of the University of California, Berkeley by objectively and efficiently administering our Code of Student Conduct; promoting academic integrity; balancing individual and community interests in order to encourage student accountability; and connecting students to resources that foster student success.

Responsibilities
CSC is looking to host graduate student interns over summer 2015. The internship will be for 300 working hours. Intern schedules can be flexible based on preference and office need.
There are a variety of experiences being offered within CSC including collaborations with Housing and Residential Services and other graduate student interns.
Projects available for the Graduate Student Interns are:

• Create and assist in programmatic projects, i.e.: Developing an ethics workshop/course,
developing a year-long "Responsibility" campaign, and building marketing and educational outreach
• Assist in data reporting and assessment in the Advocate system
• Assist Residential and Housing Services with reviewing and assessing content in the conduct
database including letters, policies, and sanctions
• Observe staff members day to day work such as student meetings, campus partner meetings,
process of administrating the Code of Student Conduct, and applying polices as it relates to
student behavior
• Participate in all staff meetings, campus partner meetings, and student conduct case review
meetings

Required  Qualifications
A CSC Graduate Student Intern must be:
• Currently enrolled in a graduate program
• Passionate to learn more about the inner workings of Higher Education and the Student Affairs 
profession
• A hard worker with self-initiative
• Able to collaborate with other graduate interns and staff on office projects
• Ready to be challenged in new ways and willing to give/receive feedback

Compensation
Interns will be provided with a $4,000 stipend. Room and board are NOT included.
