Graduate Student Intern, Viterbi Graduate Admission

This Position is Open to Current USC NON-Viterbi Graduate Students Only.
The Viterbi Graduate Admission team is seeking a graduate intern to assist graduate engineering applicants through the admission process with a high level of customer service.  Graduate interns help guide students through the application process and communicate with them regularly in person, by phone, and email.  Ideal candidates possess excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of critical thinking.

Position duties include:

-Communicate with students to help them complete their applications, determine their application status, and manage their expectations.

-Assist with quantitative application analysis projects: work with large database of application records, conduct extensive data entry and analysis, compile and organize results for reports

-Assist with development of communication management systems: manage large volume of phone and e-mail inquiries and provide feedback and analysis for improvements.

-Process electronic and paper application materials.

-Handle confidential information.

-Contribute to web content and email campaigns.

Qualifications
-Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word; experience with Access preferred.
-Have strong written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
-Be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Ability to think critically about complex situations and strong problem-solving skills.
Hours requested are 15-20 hours per week and work-study is preferred. Must be enrolled in graduate coursework in Fall 2015.
