Fundraising & Outreach Specialist position

& Intercultural Services leads students and the university in an
understanding of interculturalism that transforms Loyola Marymount University
into a community.
POSITION SUMMARY
He
or she will draft a fundraising strategic plan for the next three to five
years. Primary responsibility for collecting,
evaluating, analyzing, organizing, packaging, and disseminating detailed
prospect research on current and potential prospects for EIS Department. The specialist
will conduct detailed prospect research on major gift prospects, identification
projects, and ongoing initiatives, maintain accurate records in our prospect
tracking system, monitor market trends and media sources for relevant
information that can help the department with fundraising efforts.
EDUCATIONAL
REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's
degree required
QUALIFICATIONS
·
1 to 2 years of experience in Prospect
Research or similar positions/roles involving internet-based Research,
biographical or genealogical research, financial analysis, or data management.

Experience with proactive fundraising management
and research techniques.
·
Excellent communication skills, including
demonstrated ability to synthesize data found in research into clear, concise,
and to the point written research documents.
·
Ability to manage multiple projects while
exhibiting an exceptional attention to detail in a deadline-oriented
environment.
·
Requires proficiency in MS Word (merges,
advanced formatting), MS Excel (including filtering, equations, pivot tables),
and MS Access (queries, mail merges, forms).
·
Knowledge of University structure and
prospect management system a plus.
·
Willingness to learn new online database
and software.
·
This is a hands-on learning opportunity and
is a non-paid position.
