Congratulations to Professor Tracy Tambascia who was nominated by her students to be recognized for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the campus and to the greater community and selected as a 2014 Professor of Color by The Asian Pacific American Student Assembly and Academic Culture Assembly. Thank you for all that you do for our students and the community at USC!
On behalf of the entire USC community, we want to thank her for going above and beyond both in and outside of the classroom. She was described by her nominator(s) as one who "has been a central figure in the USC Rossier School of Education, and has changed the lives of countless Master’s and Doctoral level-students." Professor Tambascia is said to challenge students to "develop critical thoughts and ideas about [their] roles as global citizens in [their] field." It is clear that Professor Tambascia has not only generated interest in Education, but has also fostered a greater appreciation for learning here at USC. She is an "empowered, engaged, and awe-inspiring" role model to other students of color on campus and we could not thank her enough for her contribution.
