Graduate Student Position Available within Athletics:
 Admissions and Initial Eligibility

The USC Athletics Department is seeking a graduate student (first year preferred) to assist with the admissions and NCAA initial eligibility processes of our incoming student athletes.   We are seeking a graduate student who would be available to work up to 20 hours a week at a pay rate of $12-13 an hour.  

Responsibilities for the position include:
·         Working closely with coaching staff in advisement of incoming student athletes;
·         Evaluating prospective student athletes to ensure that they will meet NCAA eligibility requirements;
·         Fielding questions from coaches, HS counselors and prospective student athletes regarding admission and eligibility; 
·         Maintaining NCAA and USC admission databases.

Requirements for the position include:
·         Excellent verbal and written communication abilities;
·         An understanding and appreciation of collegiate athletics;
·         Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred qualifications include:
·         Knowledge of NCAA legislation;
·         Experience with the admissions process.
