Graduate Student Position Available within Athletics:
Admissions and Initial
Eligibility
The USC Athletic Department is seeking a graduate student
(first year preferred) to assist with the admissions and NCAA initial
eligibility processes of our incoming student athletes. In addition, the position would also entail
assisting the department’s Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior
Women’s Administrator (SWA) with various administrative tasks. We are seeking a graduate student for immediate
hire who would be available to work up to 20 hours a week at a pay rate of $12
an hour.
Responsibilities for the position include:

Working closely with coaching staff in advisement of
incoming student athletes;
·
Evaluating prospective student athletes to ensure that
they will meet NCAA eligibility requirements;
·
Assisting SWA with various tasks including Title IX
compliance and event planning;
·
Fielding questions from coaches, HS counselors and
prospective student athletes regarding admission and eligibility;
·
Maintaining NCAA and USC admission databases.
Requirements for the position include:
·
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities;
·
An understanding and appreciation of collegiate
athletics;
·
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred qualifications include:
·
Knowledge of NCAA legislation;
·
Experience with the admissions process.
