EXAM ASSISTANT
DISABILITY
SERVICES AND PROGRAMS
General Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and
overseeing testing accommodations for students with disabilities
- Proctoring exams to insure academic
integrity
- Oversee testing at off-site locations
when necessary
- Receive exam proctoring requests, exams,
and other materials
- Supervise approximately 15 exam proctors
- Serve as a reader or scribe for exams
when needed
- General Office Work (filing, phone calls)
- Research Assistant-DSP and other databases
- Cross-training with DSP Notetaking Assistants, DSP Counselors, front desk, ect.
Position Requirements:
- Enrollment at USC. Exam Assistants must
be graduate students, preferably in Education, Social Work, Communication,
Public Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling
- Work Study strongly preferred
- Strong oral and written communication
skills
- Ability to work in an extremely busy
environment with many interruptions
- Ability to respond to the diversity of
the USC Community
- Ability to maintain appropriate behavior in dealing with faculty, administration, and staff and to provide courteous services to students and parents.
Please
note: We ask that the exam assistant work 20 hours
a week consisting of two full days and a half day.
Compensation:
$13/hr
Hours
Per Week: 20 hr/wk
Work
Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm, M-F
