Job Description
Career Guidance
Counselor Assistant (CGCA):
CGCA’s will assist counselors with educational goal
workshops, career workshops, orientations, classroom presentations, and student
follow-ups. Monitor student’s progress through the matriculation process; which
includes: Orientation, Assessment, and a Student Educational Plan. Make
follow-up calls to students who have not completed Orientation, Assessment, and
a Student Educational Plan. CGCA’s will also assist counselors with workshops
for "at risk" students who are on academic or progress probation or
students who have reached 100 units or more and have not graduated from
college.
Qualifications:

Attend an accredited four (4) year college or
university
·
Enrolled in at least twelve (12) upper division
units, or nine (9) graduate units
·
Enrolled in a Mater’s counseling, social work,
or business or a related field
·
Detailed oriented
·
Basic computer skills Word, Excel, Microsoft
Access.
