About the department
Annenberg International Programs provides study abroad and international internship opportunities in
various cities around the globe for undergraduate and graduate students. The office also hosts exchange
students at USC from partner universities abroad. Each program provides students with the opportunity
to gain cross-cultural personal and professional experience while earning academic credits toward their
USC degree.
Job Description
Graduate assistants support AIP staff in several areas and receive extensive on-the-job training. Job
responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Help recruit Annenberg students to study abroad through tabling events at study abroad fairs and
assist with info sessions
- Assist AIP staff in managing the office by communicating with prospective and current study
abroad students, creating/managing spreadsheets, and delivering sensitive documents to various
offices on campus
- Create survey instruments to assist the office in study abroad research
- Support the AIP staff in carrying out research and interpreting the data
- Gain experience advising students on study abroad
- Manage AIP’s email account (ascintl@usc.edu)
Qualifications
Graduate Assistant must be enrolled in a graduate program through the USC Rossier School of
Education and registered for EDHP 587 Field Work in Higher, Adult and Professional Education. Course
credit is required. This is an unpaid position.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- One-semester commitment. (Two semesters is possible)
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media
- Can-do attitude required
Hours:
6 - 10 hours per week.
