Viterbi School's Office of Admission and Student Affairs is seeking a Graduate
Intern. The position will work directly with the Viterbi Graduate

Job
Description
The
Viterbi Graduate Admission team is looking for a graduate intern to assist
graduate engineering applicants through the admission process with a high level
of customer service. The graduate intern will communicate with students to help
them complete their applications, inform them of their application status, and
manage their expectations. Work-study is strongly preferred. Only
non-engineering graduate students will be considered for this position.
The
Graduate Admission Graduate Intern role includes, but is not limited to:

Communicate by telephone, via email, and in person with students about the
application process and the status of applications

Counsel applicants on admission policies and procedures

Evaluate and offer solutions to applicant problems and requests regarding
admission activities with students and other university offices

Process electronic and paper application materials
- Handle
confidential information
Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic
computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to apply critical thought to complicated situations and identify core
problems and corresponding solutions
