The Southern
California College Advising Corps (SCCAC) is hiring primarily
USC graduates to serve as College Advisers. While USC employees, the
Advisers will work in high schools throughout Los Angeles, Long Beach,
and Garden Grove. Advisers help first-generation, low-income, and
underrepresented students and their families navigate the college admissions
and financing
processes.
SCCAC is a two-year commitment and a great full-time job
opportunity for recent graduates, especially those interested in serving their community, the field
of education, counseling, or going on to graduate school.
We will be holding three information sessions in WPH 403:
· Mon, May 5, 10-11:30 am
· Tue, May 6, 1-2:30 pm
· Wed, May 7, 2-3:30 pm
Current SCCAC advisers will be speaking about this opportunity and
their experiences. Please encourage qualified candidates to attend. Refreshments
will be served!
This is an amazing opportunity for USC grads! They will have
the chance to participate in a unique and fulfilling first time professional
experience, create lasting relationships with fellow advisers and USC
personnel, and help under-served high school students in Southern California to
realize their college dreams!
To apply go to the USC Careers website and apply for the position
titled “Student Services Advisor I” at the Rossier School of Education. You can
apply starting on June 1 and the deadline is July 1.
