Management, Organizations and Policy Transformation Research Cluster Coordinator
The Management Organizations and Policy Transformation (MOPT) research cluster at
the USC School
of Social Work is seeking to hire
an incoming (1st year
preferred) master-level graduate student
as a cluster coordinator. This
position includes a monthly
stipend or hourly student wages, tuition remission,
health and dental benefits.
The
Graduate Assistant job responsibilities
involve providing administrative assistance and support
to the co-directors of the
cluster and to the cluster activities. Responsibilities include:

Organize and
coordinate all aspects of the MOPT Research
Cluster, such as presentations, recruitment of participants, data collection, administration
and reporting.
·
Confer with
the Co-Directors in developing plans for
research projects and cluster activities in that would promote
the cluster’s mission.
·
Coordinate
meetings, manage schedules, events and projects related to
the cluster’s
efforts.
·
Proactively engage
and build relationships with faculty and
students at the cluster,
with co- workers at the
school with external stakeholders,
based on trust and integrity.
·
Produce
information by formatting,
editing, copying, transmitting
and distributing text,
data and graphics
related to the cluster activities.
·
Coordinate
business travel and scheduling of meeting and
conferences.
·
Arranging visits of distinguished scholars
and lectures related to the cluster activities.
Applicant
must possess the following proficiencies:

oriented and conscientious
·
Ability to
prioritize and mange time effectively
·
Clear and
concise in both verbal and
written forms of communication.
·
Excel
at using “soft-skills” (e.g. interpersonal, empathy, listening, and social skills) in a complex work environment.
·
Ability to
multi-task, stay focused
and productive
·
Must be
dependable and reliable
·
Exceptional
organizational, computer, digital, web-based
skills.
·
Previous
experience in calendar management, tracking meetings, activities
and
scheduling conferences, and business travel.
·
Previous
experience in grants management or preparation is beneficial.
·
Experience on
software for word processing,
desktop publishing, database
management, website,
social media and spreadsheets. Must be comfortable adapting to new technology and equipment.
