Upward Bound – Senior Seminar Instructor
Make a lasting impact in the life of a high school student. The Upward Bound program
at USC is a federal educational support services provider. Our mission is to help
students succeed in high school so that they will be able to accomplish their goal of
going to college.

Job Description
• Prepare the program’s high school seniors for college readiness through creative
and engaging lessons
• Impart financial aid knowledge including FAFSA, grants, and scholarships
• Facilitate decision-making on which college to attend
• Impart knowledge regarding services and resources available to students at the
postsecondary level
• Help students develop/hone skills necessary for college success such as study
skills, self-advocacy, and time management

Qualifications
• Knowledge and/or professional experience in the college preparation process
• Must have a bachelor’s degree
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must enjoy working with high school-aged students
• Available to work on Saturdays from 9:30 AM-12 PM

Working Hours: Saturdays from 9:30 AM-12 PM
Spring Semester Dates: January 31 – April 25 (Saturdays Only)
Starting Rate: $20/hour
