The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is funded by the US Department of State and offers opportunities in research/arts/study/service/teaching English abroad for 8-10 months after completion of a bachelor’s degree.  Applicants design their own projects and typically work with mentors at foreign universities.  English Teaching Assistants are placed in schools with local English teachers.  The Fulbright US Student program provides full funding that includes round-trip airfare; language or orientation courses, tuition, in some cases; a living stipend for the academic year, and supplemental health and accident insurance. While excellence in the field of study and a strong academic record are preconditions for this fellowship, candidates are also selected using the following criteria: project feasibility, language qualifications (determined by country), knowledge of the host country, and characteristics that make for a good ambassador. **U.S. citizenship is required to apply

·         The Fulbright U.S. Student Grant Program offers awards to ~75 countries.  

·         More applicants are needed to: Indonesia, Laos, Mongolia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Bahrain, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Sri Lanka, and Tajikistan.

·         New ETA Program to the Ivory Coast for 2016-2017.

·         Mexico ETA Program is doubling in size to 60 awards.

NACADA Accepting Applications for Graduate Student Scholarship

Two Opportunities for Graduate Student Funding!

1. Applications for the NACADA Graduate Student Regional Scholarship program are still being accepted.  NACADA will provide selected student members with an opportunity to attend an upcoming Regional Conference this spring by waiving the student member registration fee.  This exciting opportunity is possible due to the success of the NACADA Silent Auction held each year during the Annual Conference.
   
   NACADA encourages all eligible student members to apply for these scholarships! This is an exciting opportunity for the Association to support our members and encourage involvement for our annual conference.
   The deadline to apply for Region 7 Conference is January 31, 2014.
   The deadline to apply for Region 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, and the Research Symposium is February 5, 2014.
   The deadline to apply for Region 3, 6, and 10 is April 2, 2014.

Graduate Student Government Conference Travel Grant Program

Purpose: The GSG Conference Travel Grant Program provides awards of up to $500 for USC graduate students. All USC graduate students who pay the Student Programming Fee are eligible for a Travel Grant if they are: a) presenting original research or b) attending a conference related to their field of study.

We prioritize funding for conference presenters and as funds permit, also support conference attendees. Please review below for important Program Updates.

We will accept applications for Spring 2013 travel (conferences that occur January 14th through May 19th) beginning in mid-May 2013. At that time, the GSG website will be updated and a message will be included in our newsletter inviting Spring 2013 applications. Do not submit applications for Spring 2013 travel at this time.

Please review the Application Procedures and Guidelines before applying to ensure you know what expenses are reimbursable, what constitutes a valid receipt and that you submit the correct materials. GSG reserves the right to reject applications that do not follow the Application Procedures and Guidelines.

GSG Travel Grant Applications

GSG is now accepting applications for travel during Summer Semester 2012, which includes travel completed between 5/16/12 and 8/26/12. Also, they will accept applications for Fall Semester 2012 travel beginning in December.  Do not submit applications for Fall 2012 travel at this time.

GPSS Travel Grants Opportunity

The Graduate and Professional Student Senate would like to apologize for the significant delay of the Conference Travel Grants Website launching. The website is officially live and accepting applications as of Friday, April 8, 2011. The application can be found under “Finance” at www.gpssusc.com.

Graduate and professional students who have presented or attended at a conference are eligible for up to $500 in reimbursements for the fiscal year (Summer 2010, Fall 2010, and Spring 2011). Those who presented will be given priority over those who attended. For further clarification of eligibility requirements, please consult the guidelines on our website.

The deadline for submitting your electronic application for travel during the Fall 2010 semester (travel dates: 8/25/10 – 1/9/11) is Monday, April 25, 2011 at 11:59pm PST. The deadline for submitting applications for travel during the Spring 2011 semester (travel dates: 1/10/11 – 5/13/11) is Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11:59pm PST.
